We ended up with an odd crew. Jake was on his new bike, Jed was on his bike, Tiffany was on their 400ex, Will was on his 450r, Katie was on Burkes 80, and Kate and I were on my Grizzly. That’s right Kate went on her first real 4 wheeler ride.

Despite leaving my house at 6:30 instead of 5:30 like I had wanted too, I think the trip went near perfectly. We got in a good couple hours riding. No one got hurt. And Kate came!

Sounds like it was a fun trip, Jake how did you like your bike? Was the heat not so bad? I beat it was really really dusty! Also Jake are you coming on the father and sons?

My Bike is awesome. I Love it! Monks was a lot of fun. The heat wasn’t bad at all, and the dust really wasn’t all that bad, only if you got behind one of the 4-wheelers. I am planning on going on the Fathers and Sons trip. So you all better go.

I tried going up that one black diamond hill with Will and Jed, and got a ways up, but the loose dirt and rocks won in the end. I got stuck and Will had to help me get out of it. My back tire started sliding down the side of the hill. And then on the way down, I wasn’t doing too well with the clutch and both brakes, and I laid my bike down. I ripped one of my grips a little bit, but I stayed on my feet, so no biggie. It was definitely worth trying, and I think I have a better feel for my bike after that. I had a really good time though. I look forward to our trip.
